Super Bowl Sunday parties

Sports fans will be winging it at Super Bowl Sunday parties.

Super Bowl LIV kicks off at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Whether you are rooting for the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs to win, one thing is certain: plenty of West Valley sports bars, restaurants and even gyms are hosting fun and festive events on that day.

A few Super Bowl parties promise super fun:

Lakeside Bar & Grill, Peoria 

Lakeside Bar & Grill will be open at 9 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday and will serve breakfast until 11 a.m., along with all-day Happy Hour $4 Bloody Marys, $5 Mimosas, and more game day drink specials to enjoy while watching the game. The exclusive $3-$5-$7 Super Bowl menu features some popular starters and they are also featuring a $20 Wings and Domestic Pitcher deal. Lakeside Bar & Grill has been recently remodeled with wall-to-wall televisions and patio televisions on their dog-friendly family patio and on their smoking patio.

EOS Fitness, Glendale, Goodyear, Peoria and Surprise

You may have read the reports that claim people eat an average of 2,400 calories during a Super Bowl party. If you want to skip the game eats and burn off some calories while you watch the game, head to any of the four west valley EOS Fitness locations. They will be showing the Super Bowl as well as opening their doors to the public as well as members, so everyone can watch the game and workout for free. If you wear your team colors, you can be entered into a contest to win 3 months of free membership and three personal training sessions.

Dave and Buster’s, Glendale

With plenty of games for kids (and adults), Dave and Buster’s in Glendale is hosting a party for guests of all ages. At 2:30 p.m. the Pregame Food Buffet will be served; it will be available until the end of half-time. Enjoy mini cheeseburgers, chicken bites, pizza bites, mac and cheese and more. Cost is $40 per person; for $20 you can also get a Super Charged Game card with simulated unlimited gameplay. There will be giveaways at the end of each quarter, a cash bar, and for those who wear their team jersey, they will receive a raffle ticket for their chance to win a $100 gift basket.

McFadden’s, Glendale

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon is an Irish-themed sports bar located in the Westgate Entertainment District. During the Super Bowl, for $20 enjoy all you can eat wings, with a wing eating contest at half time.

Padre Murphy’s, Glendale

The sports bar is hosting a Super Bowl LIV party with prize giveaways each quarter, including Phoenix Suns tickets, a 50-wing platter, $50 Padre Murphy’s gift certificate, T-shirts, glasses and more. Food specials for the day include a San Francisco Clam Chowder Sourdough Bowl for $8.99 and Kansas City BBQ with homemade potato chips for $11.99.

Twin Peaks, Glendale

With close to 100 large screen televisions, Twin Peaks hosts a Super Bowl party that features large “shareable” plates of 24 bone-in naked, bone-in breaded or boneless wings for $24—choose from seven sauces for dipping. Smoked and grilled wings are also an option with 24 wings for $31.99. The Hunter’s Meat & Cheese Board is another dish for sharing, available for $9.99. The Double Peaks sampler will be featured on the Super Bowl menu for $22 which has fried pickles, buffalo tenders and mozzarella bites. Or, go for the Triple Play XL for $12, which includes avocado smash, fire-roasted salsa, chipotle queso and tortilla chips.
