Mayor Cathy Carlat announced and awarded Thaku’s Menswear as the Mayor’s Business of the Month for January 2019.

With two Valley locations, Thaku’s Menswear has offered functional and well-designed clothing for the big, tall, and short man for more than 50 years. The niche clothing store opened in 1969 by Thaku Vaswani, who found many athletes and business professionals were unable to find correct apparel sizing in traditional stores. Today, the stores are run by Thaku’s sons: Kash, Neil, and Bob Vaswani; who are carrying on their father’s mission to deliver classic looks that keep men feeling

confident and comfortable.

When the Vaswani family speaks about what Thaku’s means, they do so with pride and assurance. Although the brothers had once considered modernizing the business name, Thaku’s has long represented the quality their father instilled in the business; and they said they are proud to carry on the American Dream their father realized.

This customer-centric mission is visible in the large inventory of distinctive and exclusive clothing offered in specialty and hard-to-find sizes; including extra-small short sizes to extra-large tall sizes and lengths. Thaku’s selection includes a variety of premium apparel from Thaku’s signature labels, and a large collection of curated picks from designer brands.

Through the Vaswani family’s dedication to providing exceptional ward- robe options, the mayor said Thaku’s Menswear has become a familiar and dependable name for fine clothing throughout the Valley.

The P83 Entertainment District at 83rd Avenue and Bell Road has under- gone an exciting transformation in the last several years with new signage,

lighting, and landscaping. Thaku’s Menswear is in the heart of the growing district, near the courtyard and gathering space adjacent to Harkins Theatres Arrowhead.
