While lounging around in a restaurant and enjoying a meal with table service is no longer an option, many Peoria restaurants are still open for takeout and/or delivery.

While bars are not allowed to have drinking on site, some are delivering or selling takeout beer, wine and cocktails (with food orders).

Among the restaurants still open:

• BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, 9748 W. Northern Avenue; 623-772-6470.

“Tired from homeschooling the kids?” BJ’s posted last week.

“Is your roommate really starting to get on your nerves? Running out of shows to binge watch? Don’t stress! Bring Happy Hour to your happy place with select $10 bottled wines. Plus six-packs and growlers of BJ’s handcrafted beer available for take out.”

• Revolu Modern Taqueria, 15703 N. 83rd Avenue, Suite 110; 623-878-0215.

Not only is this place open, it is offering some big-time specials.

“Family pack $39.99! Six Tacos, rice and  beans, chips and salsa, two cheese quesadillas, fresh fruit, tater tots and donuts for dessert!” said a post over the weekend.

“Oh and yes: Margaritas, beer and wine to go!”

• Carolina’s Mexican Food Peoria, 9030 W. Peoria Avenue; 623-487-1400

“Curbside pickup is now available for all online orders,” according to a post Saturday. “Place your order at and we will bring your order to your vehicle!”

• Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, 16845 N. 84th Avenue; 623-875-1136.

“You can still get homestyle cooking via carry-out, and now through curbside and delivery at,” a Facebook post said. “So even though dining rooms might be closed in some states to keep our communities safe, you can still enjoy comfort food from the comforts of home.”

Uber Eats has delivery from a variety of restaurants, including:

•Panda Express

• BoSa Donuts

•La Piazza al Forno

Grubhub also delivers from many eateries, including:

Streets of New York

•Red Robin

•Jamba Juice

•Bo Bo China

Some restaurants have tapped out, for the time being.

Good China Restaurant temporarily closed March 23.

Ditto for Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, which shut down temporarily March 21.
