There must be something in the air.
A week after a Glendale couple cashed in a winning Arizona Lottery ticket for $410 million, a guest at Desert Diamond Casino West Valley hit a $434,588 progressive jackpot.
The guest, who chose to remain anonymous, was playing a Wheel of Fortune machine from IGT.
“We always love to see our guests win big, especially during this unprecedented time,” Treena Parvello of the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise said.
Desert Diamond Casino West Valley reopened its doors on June 5 after more than two months of temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rigorous new safety protocols have been implemented that follow the recommended guidelines from the CDC and other health agencies to protect guests and team members.
“This lucky guest is one of many jackpot winners at our casinos since we reopened. We’re committed to providing a safe and fun place to play, and we can’t wait to see who will take home the next big win,” Parvello said.
