The city of Peoria was awarded federal Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. 

The city is providing up to $10,000 exclusively to microenterprise business owners who meet certain low-moderate income levels as defined by HUD. 

Microenterprise businesses are defined as a business with five or fewer employees, of which one or more is an income-qualified owner. Grant financial assistance must be utilized to prepare for, prevent or respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
