Just north of the Planetpalooza celebration at Centennial Plaza last weekend was a less crowded, but just as colorful exhibit inside Peoria City Hall. West Valley Art Museum, which is usually only open Monday through Thursday, was showing off winning art work.

A great supporter of all forms of art, whether singing, acting, dancing, or sculpting, forging or painting, Connie McMillin, the museum director, patiently explained the art and artists.

In its latest juried art exhibit, WVAM features serious faces of various cultures to whimsical works designed to bring smiles to patrons’ faces.
