Just north of the Planetpalooza celebration at Centennial Plaza last weekend was a less crowded, but just as colorful exhibit inside Peoria City Hall. West Valley Art Museum, which is usually only open Monday through Thursday, was showing off winning art work.
There was dancing at the community center, vendors (yes, food trucks) in the streets, and arts and crafts vying for dollars in Osuna Park. There was even a Valley Metro bus with a wrap design created by a Cactus High School student.
Presidential candidates from the Republican and Democrat parties made stops in the West Valley this past weekend, trying to drum up support. Protestors were not far behind.
All decked out in their finest outfits, winners in the Celebrate the Constitution Contest sponsored by the City of Peoria crowded into the council chambers Tuesday night to be recognized for their efforts.
