Ghosts haunt Ebenezeer Scrooge

Ghosts haunt Ebenezeer Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol,” which plays at TheaterWorks Dec. 6-22.

TheaterWorks’ adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” opens Dec. 6.

Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale of regret and redemption plays through Dec. 22 at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts.

The ghosts of Christmas past, present and future haunt the greedy, grim, cold-hearted Scrooge.

TheaterWorks’ original production was adapted by local playwright Richard Powers Hardt. The production features a cast of adults and children, as well as puppets.

 Scrooge and company play at the Gyder Theater at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, 10580 N. 83rd  Drive, Peoria.
