Many other friends and extended family will miss and remember him fondly.
Mr. Mireles’ health limited his activities in recent years, but many will recall him in his prime as a big, strong guy with a quiet, thoughtful manner. Many people also admired his work ethic, carpentry and woodworking skills, sense of humor and his enjoyment of the guitar and golf. Years ago, Cruz convinced her husband to take a ballroom dance class and they enjoyed that. Melissa and Jessica loved his tradition of saving his change throughout the year and gifting it to them in a “coin sock” at Christmas. In later life, Mr. Mireles enjoyed discovering treasures at yard sales. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to a charity in his name would be appreciated.
