Carol Rose (Henschen) Tucker, 82, formerly of Peoria, was reunited with her Lord May 20, 2016. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her husband, Robert K. Tucker; and son, Dennis K, Tucker (Barbara (Clay) Tucker), all residing in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Heather (Tucker) Dowell (Greg Dowell), of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Christopher K. Tucker (Charise (Braunwalder) Tucker), of North Tustin, Calif.; and Shawna (Tucker) Pavia (Claudio Pavia), of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; along with eight great-grandchildren: Tyler Pavia, Ashley Pavia, Nicholas Dowell, Kaeli Dowell, Andrew Pavia, Madilyn Tucker, Owen Tucker, and Landon Tucker.
After leaving Georgetown, Mrs. Tucker and her husband lived in Indianapolis, Ind.; Peoria, Ariz.; and finally Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Mrs. Tucker worked for nine years at Illinois Power Company and 19 years at Public Service Indiana (Syergy), prior to retiring in 1990. For many years, Mrs. Tucker and her husband sang Southern Gospel Music as the Melody Ministries in Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Michigan, Arizona and California.
Besides being a loving mother and grandmother, Carol was a devout Christian, who gave her time and energy to serving the Lord. Prior to her illness, she spent as much free time as possible with her husband, skiing, swimming and staying active.
Visitation was May 31, with the funeral June 1 at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Covina Hills, Calif.
