James Lester Corbin was born to Lester and Mildred Corbin on Feb. 15, 1945, in Bloomfield, Mo. Mr. Corbin was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.
After his service, he married Connie Harding and began his 33-year career with Nabisco, retiring in 2001. As an avid outdoorsman, most of Mr. Corbin’s best times were spent on a dirt road or around a campfire with family and friends.
He is survived by sisters; Emma Saurette (Byron) and Janis Prentice; daughter, Tonya Hall (Rob); son, Cary Corbin (Kristie); grandchildren, Brittany Shultz (Tim), Nicole Hall, Brandon Corbin and Jadyn Corbin; great-grandchildren, Christian, Cory, Lance and Ashlynn; and nephews, Jim, Darrell and Dennis Hunt, Bart and Bret Prentice and their families.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m. June 23 and reception following at Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W. Camino Del Sol, Sun City West. Donations can be made in Mr. Corbin’s name to Infinity Hospice Care Foundation, 5110 N. 40th St., Suite 107, Phoenix.
Mr. Corbin’s pride in his family and the family name will live on for many generations to come.
