Four years after winning the National Junior Community College Athletic Association Division II National title, Glendale Community College women’s volleyball head coach Lisa Stuck said her 2018 team is showing early signs similar to that national championship team.

After 43 professional fights, Arizona’s Ray Beltran achieved one of his dreams when he won the World Boxing Organization lightweight championship. Now at Gila River Arena Aug. 25 he will fight for his second dream, remaining in the United States.

As the 2018 high school fall sports season opens practice seasons, we have listed the first few games of the season for all the Glendale schools for badminton, golf, swimming and diving, football and girls volleyball teams. 

The Fiesta Bowl will remain presented by PlayStation after extending their agreement with the College Football Playoff for six more years, including the Fiesta Bowl hosting CFP semifinal match-ups in the 2022-23 and 2025-26 seasons.
