Peoria Chamber president/CEO retires

“Those special times when our chamber has been able to offer assistance to a local business and see that business grow and prosper with our help; that is something I will always carry with me.”

Peoria Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Guy Erickson has retired.

Following the retirement of Erickson, new President/CEO Scot Andrews took the helm.

“Serving as the president of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” said Erickson, who retired June 28. “Having the opportunity to work with the city of Peoria officials, watching how they interact with the community, and their dedication to making Peoria a wonderful place to live, work and raise families has been very special.”

Erickson continued, “Working with the local Peoria businesses has truly been a pleasure. Those special times when our chamber has been able to offer assistance to a local business and see that business grow and prosper with our help; that is something I will always carry with me.”

Andrews began his role July 1. He is in strong growth mode, and plans to continue to make the chamber an integral part in the future growth of the Peoria business community.

“With the booming expansion here in Peoria I look forward working with everyone on the dreams for Peoria’s future we all envision. My family and I live here in Peoria, and I’m excited to be able to take part in its future,” he said.
