Physician Ned Stolzberg has been named executive medical director of Hospice of the Valley, overseeing the agency’s physicians and nurse practitioners.
He joined Hospice of the Valley as a medical director in 2007.
He has worked as a hospice team medical director and as a palliative care consultant in the hospital setting. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He graduated from medical school at the University of Massachusetts where he was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Medical Student. He did his residency at Phoenix Baptist Hospital.
“During my residency, I was exposed to hospice care and was very impressed with the high quality of the people and the care at Hospice of the Valley,” Stolzberg said. “Both my parents were HOV patients, and after experiencing the tremendous service the agency provides firsthand, I decided that I wanted to make hospice part of my medical practice.”
Stolzberg co-founded Arrowhead Family Care in Glendale. He was chief of staff at Arrowhead Hospital from 2004 to 2008, and currently serves on the hospital’s board of trustees, as well as the ethics committee.
