The Peoria Unified School District and the Peoria United Parent Council are inviting parents, community members and district patrons to join members of the governing board, Superintendent Linda Palles Thompson and district administrators at a community education forum scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, September 19, at Centennial High School.
This is an opportunity to connect with district leaders and other parents around school funding, fiscal responsibility and statewide issues impacting schools.
Topics at the event will include AZEd101-Education funding in Arizona and facts on the Peoria Unified maintenance and operations override.
The PUPS is a district-wide parent group organized to offer parents opportunities to be influential voices on the decisions that affect education. More information about PUPC can be found on its website, peoriaupc.wordpress.com.
