Behavioral Health System of Care for Youth and Adults in Maricopa County will present a free behavioral health seminar 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 10 at Sunrise Mountain Library, 21109 N. 98th Ave.
Recovery Empowerment Network (REN) is a non-profit agency that provides peer-support services to adults in the public behavioral healthcare system, bringing together peers, providers, and family members, and others to create community and shift the culture of mental health systems.
Come and learn about the mental health services provided by the transitional age youth center (HERO) for ages 18 to 25 that REN has recently opened and about how REN helps adults explore their recovery journey to live fulfilling lives.
There will also be a representative at the seminar from MIKID, a behavioral health organization that assists youth up to age 18 with mental health issues. Michelle Springer will share information about the services that MIKID offers and how REN and MIKID work together toward a warm hand off of clients from the children system to the adult system.
Registration is required at: Debbie.firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 623-773-7070.
