Mayor Jerry Weiers presents the Glendale Rotary Business of the Year award to Judy and Bill Kelleher and Chapel of the Chimes June 18 at a ceremony at the Glendale Woman’s Club. This was the 10th and final year of sponsorship of the award by the Revere America group.

Mayor Jerry Weiers spoke in soft terms about Bill Kelleher and his wife, Judy, during a brief ceremony at Glendale Woman’s Club June 18, before he presented the Business of the Year award to the couple.
Weiers said, “If anybody knows this man, they know he’s a good one. He exemplifies the meaning of this award.”
Kelleher said, “On behalf of my family, I give humble thanks for this recognition. I’m very thankful for all we do for all we have.”
The mayor announced this was the final award to be sponsored by Revere America, a tribute to Andrew Todd and Marjorie (Mullin) Germond; J. Wilson and Frances (Perry) Barrett; and Lynda Lee (Barrett) Germond. In that group’s name, the Northwest Insurance Agency building on North 55th Avenue in Glendale has been donated to the Glendale Corps of The Salvation Army. Donor Relations Director Derek Deegan thanked the group representative at the June 18 ceremony on behalf of The Salvation Army.
