Construction continues on community garden.
Construction of garden beds continues at Peoria’s first community garden at the corner of Madison Street and 83rd Avenue this Saturday, beginning at 6:30 a.m. The beds are being built and the garden soil will be planted. The garden is expected to be in full bloom by October. Lettuce, spinach, carrots, broccoli, kale, beans and herbs will be grown in the garden beds.
