Peoria High School and Cactus High School students volunteered May 5 to sort through 12 pallets of food and served more than 170 families a box of fruit, veggies, bread and more. The next mobile pantry takes place June 2. The center will also be open for clothing, dry food and canned goods. Sometimes, the center has eggs and milk. The Mobile Pantry Distribution is courtesy of Community Hope Centers and St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance. Students volunteer as part of their partnership with them. It is open to the general public and no identification is required and there is no qualifying. It is on the first Thursday of every month at 8a.m. at 14185 N. 83rd Ave. Contact person is Don Muscarella at 623-979-4392.
