Phillip “Felipe” Navarro, 71, of Peoria, died March 31. Mr. Navarro was born May 1, 1944 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Isidro Navarro and Juliana Villa.

He moved to Peoria when he was 13 years old, and resided in Peoria for most of his life. He graduated from Peoria High School in 1965 and worked for the City of Peoria Water Department until 1975. Later in life, he became an accomplished commercial and residential plumber and retired in 2006.

He is survived by his brother and sister, Jesus Navarro and Socorro Martinez; his sons and daughters, Phil Navarro Jr., Julie Beloit, Priscilla Navarro, Andrew Navarro, Jessica Herrera, and Erica Navarro; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews to carry on his legacy. He is also survived by his life partner, Angie Hernandez, and her children, Tony, Danny, Freddy and Christina.

He was preceded in death by his father, Isidro Navarro; his mother, Juliana Villa; brother, Lorenzo Navarro; brother, Jacinto Navarro; sister, Maria Navarro Carrera; son, Lorenzo Navarro; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. April 11 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave. Mass will be held 10 to 11 a.m. April 12 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 8615 W. Peoria Ave. Interment will follow at West Resthaven.
