Chuck Fitzgerald normally gives to others.
Last week, Fitzgerald was the one receiving — an award.
Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) presented Peoria resident Fitzgerald with Arizona’s District 8 Congressional Recognition.
He was nominated by Betty Lynch of the West Valley Human Services Alliance (WVHSA). The two help lead the WVHSA, an organization made up of families, governments, nonprofits, businesses, and faith-based and community organizations committed to the well-being of West Valley residents.
“In addition to leading WVHSA, Chuck is the founder of the Peoria Peace Initiative and the convener of the Pursuing Peace Conference which is held every year,” said Lesko.
“If that isn’t enough, he has served on many boards such as the Arizona Human Trafficking Council, 2-1-1 Arizona, Shoebox Ministries, Neighborhood Ministries, Leadership West, and Vineyard Community Charities to name a few.”
The busy Fitzgerald also volunteers on the NW Maricopa First Things First Council, the Glendale Strong Family Network, is sergeant at arms at the Arizona House of Representatives and is an active member of the Peoria Rotary Club.
