Crossing Guard Peoria Training Workshop

To make sure thousands of students get to school safely, hundreds of crossing guards will take part in upcoming regional training workshops. They will learn essential crossing guard procedures, traffic laws regarding crosswalks, proper equipment, and how to ensure their own health and safety while keeping others safe. 

The 2019 Regional School Crossing Guard Training workshops are sponsored by the Maricopa Association of Governments and its member agencies. 

Three workshops are scheduled for the following dates and locations:

•  9 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at Washington High School Auditorium, 2217 W. Glendale Avenue, Phoenix.

•  9 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, Rio Vista Recreation Center, 8866-A W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria.

•  9 a.m. Thursday, August 1, Dobson High School’s North Lobby Auditorium, 1501 W. Guadalupe Road, Mesa.

School crossing guards who are interested in participating in the training workshops must preregister.
