There is one grand re-opening for a produce stand in the city.
As of right now, Peoria is growing at a rapid pace, building new homes and businesses around the city. To help grow and transform the future of Peoria through entrepreneurship, Peoria Forwards is partnering with ASU Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program. The discussion of entrepreneurship will be held Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. It will be located at Sunrise Mountain Library 21109 N. 98th Avenue. The Peoria Chamber of Commerce will be having a Women 4 Women networking group event in which Carole Zingula will be the speaker on Friday Oct. 4, 2019 from 8 to 10 a.m. It will be located at the Links Neighborhood Grill at 18823 N. Country Club Parkway. For members, it will cost $10 when pre-registered and $15 at the door. For non-members, the cost is $20 pre-registered and $25 at the door. On World Teacher Day, Saturday Oct. 5, VIPKid Teachers will be gathering to discuss and share great successes, knowledge and lessons. The teachers will be meeting at Starbucks at 8225 W Bell Road from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The meeting will let the teachers engage ideas and discuss winter holidays slump strategies. Aside from networking events, family-owned Blue Rooster Produce Stand is having a grand re-opening for their sixth season on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The produce stand is located at 23621 N. 91 Avenue. There will be a free new designed white T-shirt with any purchase. They grow lots of organic vegetables — whatever is in season. Also, they team up with other local growers and community members to provide the public with fresh produce. Get your fresh farm eggs, raw AZ honey and even soap!

There will be a writer’s insights workshop hosted by Phoenix Screenwriters Association on Tuesday, October 8. The workshop will be from 7 to 9 p.m. located at the Residence Inn by Marriott on 8435 W.
